Data sources & licences
Where the catalogue comes from, and the licence each part is used under.
Wikidata (CC0)
Titles, original titles, release dates, runtime, season and episode counts, networks, countries, languages, genres, directors and cast are imported from Wikidata, whose structured data is released under CC0 — free to reuse, including commercially, without attribution (we credit it anyway). Each imported title links back to its Wikidata item.
Wikipedia (CC BY-SA 4.0)
Short synopses are adapted from the introductory section of the corresponding Wikipedia article and are credited with a link on every page that shows one, as the licence requires.
What we do not import
We do not import ratings, review scores, poster images or plot summaries from sources whose terms prohibit reuse. A title without a written review shows TBA rather than a borrowed number.
Popularity and trending flags
"Popular" and "trending" are derived from how many Wikipedia language editions document a title — a transparent, verifiable signal. They are not box-office figures and not a rating.
